Ogura clutches are designed and built to run in outside environments and are e-coated for maximum corrosion protection. Most coils are epoxy sealed to prevent any internal contamination. All Ogura Mobile clutches are single plate steel-on-steel friction surfaces and do not require friction material that can swell if exposed to water. Bearings are sealed to help prevent contamination and are made to run in high temp under-the-hood engine applications as well as in outdoor extreme cold environments.
These electromagnetic clutches are used in some of the harshest outdoor environments such as on salt and sand spreaders where they are directly exposed to salt corrosion and in different agricultural fertilizer and spraying applications that are also considered a highly corrosive environment.
Ogura electromagnetic clutches are available in all standard engine shafts sizes and offer multiple output options, including single and multiple v belt pulleys and universal output flanges for in-line or other output options like sprockets or timing pulleys.
Benefits you will see when using an Ogura electromagnetic clutch
- Reduced engine load on cold weather starts
- Increased operational life of pumps and other driven equipment
- Fuel and energy savings
- Safety and convenience (remote starting)
