Ogura's industrial clutch and brake line has the widest variety of product offerings available. These clutches and brakes are primarily designed for robotics, factory automation, hoists and elevators, food & beverage processing, printing, packaging, material handling and machine tool applications. Ogura offers a variety of armature designs that can provide quiet operation, zero backlash or automatic adjustment for wear to provide extremely long life. Quick response times can be achieved for high cycling or high precision applications. Multiple disc and tooth clutches offer the greatest torque per size of any of the electromagnetic clutch designs. Besides electromagnetic, Ogura also offers multiple disc mechanical clutches as well as multiple disc hydraulic brakes.

Hysteresis clutch for industrial application. Torque is independent of slip speed and can be easily controlled by varying the current. Since there is no frictional contact between the magnets, the units have an extremely wide torque range and are ideally suited for testing machinery and/or application that are required to produce consistent and smooth torque over a wide range.

Small clutches for use in copy machines, printers, and other peripheral devices. This one-piece assembly features a custom-molded gear or timing pulley designed to your specifications. Most clutches use a permanent magnet to disengage the armature when it is not in use. All clutches are bi-directional. A three pronged dog bone output is also available.
