Regional Sales Manager & Product Manager
OVERVIEW
We are looking for an energetic and experienced team player to help drive our sales. You will attract new clients and build solid relationships with them while maintaining existing relationships. You will manage a group of manufacturers’ sales reps.
You will have a dual role as a Product Manager. Duties will include market research, supporting development of business strategies and marketing content, managing a variety of projects, and identifying new business opportunities across the company.
The successful applicant will be resourceful, organized, and motivated to increase sales, enhance the company's reputation, and look for new and creative ways to market our products. A background in sales or marketing is desired and a technical or engineering background will be an added advantage. Establishing good interpersonal relationships is a must for this role, since the associate would have to relate with departmental and managerial staff members as well as with customers.
Regions: South, Southeast, West, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Canada
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Willing to familiarize yourself with the company's vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives.
- Conducting market research and identifying potential clients.
- Cultivating strong relationships with new clients, while maintaining existing client relationships.
- Understanding the products and services the business organization has to offer and communicating such varieties of products to the client.
- Proffering required solutions to problems presented by clients.
- Upgrading self by attending industry training programs, conferences, seminars, and trade shows.
- Reading publications relating to the latest technological trends and emerging markets as it affects the business organization.
- Driving business development.
- Arranging presentations and meetings among members of staff and with existing and prospective clients.
- Searching for prospective clients and updating the database regularly.
- Collating and maintaining client information.
- Assisting with business plans, presentations, reference literature, website content, marketing content and other documents as required.
- Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or engineering.
- 5 or more years' relevant work experience in business development or similar field preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Friendly and personable demeanor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
- Ability to travel as needed to visit clients, tradeshows, or other interests.
- Willingness to learn, be a team player, think creatively, and complete projects on time that meet company goals.
