Why Ogura clutches give your machine more run time
Ogura’s new patented PTO clutch/brakes are designed with the operator in mind. All the major parts of the clutch are e-coated to provide maximum corrosion protection against harsh outdoor conditions. Each PTO clutch/brake also comes preassembled and is a one-piece design, so no initial adjustments are necessary. However, Ogura PTO clutch/brakes also include the ability to adjust the air gap for wear, so as a clutch wears throughout its life, the air gap can be partially reset in either the brake shroud design or flip set brake pad design to give additional cycle life for the end user. Many models of Ogura PTO clutch/brake also come with the optional built-in electrical connector, that prevents wire damage in case of a thrown belt or other foreign objects contacting clutch lead wires.
Newer designs being released in 2020 will also include an improved bearing seal design that is more resistant to water contamination which will extend the life of the clutch field bearing. Almost all Ogura models use an epoxy sealed coil and riveted backing plates to prevent parts separation due to heavy vibration, like diesel engine applications.
