Do you need precise tension control regardless of speed?
For very precise tension control Ogura produces the HC/HB series of hysteresis clutches and brakes. These units operate similarly to magnetic particle units thereby voltage (with constant current supply) can very accurately control the output torque of the clutch or brake. Since controllability of these units is more accurate than magnetic particle units, they are used many times for simulating loads on testing machinery or for precise control for fine wire applications. Units are very smooth in operation and have a high level of repeatability.
HB and HC hysteresis clutches and brakes
H Series clutches and brakes range in torque from 0.12 to 1 Nm / 1.1 to 8.9 lb-in torque. They have very fast response time. These units are easy to mount in either the vertical or horizontal orientation.
