The half-clutch area is slightly smaller than the stock clutch, and despite the sporty response, it is easy to handle and has a firm feel.
- Quiet design: Due to the pull-type actuation (strap drive system) method, no sound is generated when the clutch is disengaged.
- Low cost for overhaul and specification changes: You can replace just the pressure plate to reduce the number of replacement parts during overhaul. * For replacement, a special jig is required, so please send it to the factory.
- Disc: The clutch disengages smoothly and the shifting is light and feels good. For nimble shifting, you need a lightweight clutch disc. ORC LIGHT discs were developed with an emphasis on weight reduction.
- Newly designed disc with organic friction material: We have adopted an organic friction material used in the standard clutch disc. As evidenced by the stock clutch, organic friction materials are characterized by excellent ease of driving.
- Cushioning mechanism: Cushioning is provided between the friction materials to increase the handling of the half-clutch and achieve a soft feel. The organic friction material and cushioning effect reduce the impact torque during shifting. As a result, it became possible to eliminate the damper part, and the weight of the disc was reduced.
- Lightweight Flywheel: The engine response is quick and the feeling is smooth.
- Easy to drive. The combination of a lightweight flywheel and a lightweight clutch cover reduces the weight of the entire clutch by about 20%~40% (excluding some parts) compared to stock parts. Further weight reduction is possible, but excessive weight reduction can cause idling to become very unstable or the engine to stop suddenly, so this is suppressed. Since the flywheel will be at high revs, it must have excellent strength and balance. In addition, since it is used under harsh conditions, too much weight reduction carries the risk of bursting. For this reason, ORC has increased the burst strength through highly accurate calculations based on computer analysis and appropriate material selection.
- Optional Pull-type operation: ORC also offers a pull-type operation method for some models. It achieves a light pedal force and high torque transmission similar to that of the stock product, and improves sharpness.
