Welcome to Ogura Racing Clutch (ORC)
High reliability for drift, drag, street and circuit
Due to popular demand, Ogura Racing Clutches are now available in North America! With a world-class reputation built over 38 years since its debut on the Japanese racing scene, ORC has solidified itself as the top manufacturer in the tuning market.
The Racing Concept Series — a race-specific clutch — has powered vehicles to victory in numerous races, including the All Japan GT Championship, where ORC-equipped cars claimed the championship six times between 1998 and 2006, and more recently in the Super Taikyu endurance races, with notable performances by teams like ROOKIE Racing.
ORC offers a wide range of clutches designed for various vehicle types, from single-disc clutches ideal for light tuning to triple-disc clutches built to handle the extreme power and torque of high-performance vehicles—up to 1,000 HP and 723 lb-ft of torque. These clutches are trusted by competitive circuit racers, drift and drag racers, as well as street drivers looking for top-tier performance, whether for burnouts or precision driving.
Built on Ogura’s proven technology, honed through over 300 million clutches produced for various markets—including automotive air compressor clutches, office automation, industrial equipment, and outdoor power equipment — ORC clutches reflect the same high quality and reliability. Each racing clutch is developed with Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis to ensure precision engineering. Featuring chromoly steel flywheels for ultra-lightweight construction and low inertia, ORC clutches combine newly developed high-friction (high-mu) and low-wear metal materials with a specialized diaphragm spring, enabling a transmission force exceeding 723 lb-ft (RC303 model), despite the clutch’s compact 5.4 inch diameter.
The ORC lineup includes three main series—Metal, Light, and Pro Carbon — each offering distinct performance advantages. These clutches come in single, double, and triple-disc configurations, with each additional disc increasing torque capacity without necessarily sacrificing durability. Models range from 309 to 100F, with the number corresponding to horsepower capability. Generally, smaller disc diameters enhance engine response but reduce torque transmission, while larger discs offer greater torque handling at the cost of increased inertia, which affects clutch disengagement. Whether your priority is responsiveness, aggressiveness, or durability, ORC has the right solution for you.
So, whether you're looking to compete, burn rubber, or simply show off high-performance components, Ogura Racing Clutch is more than just a brand—it’s a symbol of passion and dedication to the racing culture.
In addition to car racing clutches, ORC also manufactures slipper clutches for motorcycle racing and superchargers for various types of vehicles, expanding our commitment to performance across multiple motorsport disciplines.
